THE GARDENS

Surrounding the Château we have beautiful lawned gardens which lead to both the White Terrace and our spectacular walled potager. For most of the year you will find fresh fruit and vegetables all grown in a totally organic environment.

THE PARK & WOODS
 

Listed as a site classé our 60 acres of private park and woodlands can be explored at any time year - and you can walk the many footpaths we have restored.

You'll also find 14 Stations of the Cross - massive stone crosses - within the woods.  This Chemin Croix was a noted site of pilgrimage for many years.

THE IMMEDIATE VICINITY

The woods lead through the Chemin Croix to La Chapelle-sur-Vire with its Abbey and the Route de Halage - a cycling and hiking path which leads all the way to the coast.

You'll also find the Roches de Ham just two miles away where there are the tallest inland cliffs in Normandy and a delightful creperie.

For the first time in its 375 year history, the Château de l'Angotière is available for rental. It is located in the centre of Basse Normandie, and is only 50 minutes' drive from the Mont St Michel, Bayeux and D-Day Landing Beaches & Cemeteries.
